European Reining Alliance (ERA)

Four popular and top-class Reining show events have been united into the European Reining Alliance (ERA) in order to promote the sport of Reining more effectively.
Each show will host an NRHA Category 1 Open class with prize money of $30,000 and a Non Pro category 1 class of $20,000, In the Open the horse that wins the most money over the four shows will be eligible for an additional large and lucrative prize. In the Non Pro the horse/rider combination winning the most money over the four shows will also be awarded a prestigious additional prize.

The concept of making such a circuit is to encourage intercontinental and standardised competition in reining. In the future it is envisaged that these linked competitions will also include shows in America and the Middle East. It is the first stage towards making reining a sport in the same context as show jumping or dressage where the horses travel round an international circuit with competitions sponsored by major household names. This brings recognition to international supporters of the sport as they become linked with it in several different nations.

The ERA is very excited to have already attracted some international corporate names as sponsors and looks forward to bringing reining into the forefront of equestrian sport. Main sponsor for the Shows  at the CS Ranch in Givrins for example is the “Schweizer Vermögensberatung”.
