The NRHA European Affiliate & SVAG CS Classic Intermediate Open and Intermediate Non Pro Champions
The second day of competition at the 
CS Ranch in Givrins, Switzerland, where the 2011 edition of the NRHA European Affiliate Championship (EAC) Finals & SVAG CS Classic Show are taking place, saw the Intermediate Open and Intermediate Non Pro Champions leave their mark.
Taking home the $1,500 added Intermediate Open European Affiliate Championship, as well as first place in the $5,000 added NRHA Intermediate Open, with a score of 219.5, was Doug Allen riding Jacs Little Surprise ( Sunrise Enterprise x Miss Whoa Jac).
Allen, representing Great Britain, thrilled the crowd and the judges with his performance aboard his wife’s, Francesca Sternberg, eleven-year-old palomino stallion. “I’m just really happy!”, he said, clearly moved by the emotion, following the awards presentation.
Jeanette Versendaal – V Welsum’s Betcha Boots Whiz (Topsail Whiz x Special Dose), ridden by Petra Van Ede of The Netherlands, took the Intermediate Open European Affiliate Reserve Championship as well as reserve honors in the NRHA approved ancillary class.
Winning both the $1,000 added Intermediate Non Pro European Affiliate Championship and the NRHA approved ancillary $3,000 added Intermediate Non Pro class were Fenna Elzinger and her Smokin Kills. The young lady from The Netherlands has just come from earning the Bronze Medal in the restricted division at the 2011 FEI World Reining Finals on the eight-year-old stallion by Lil Dry Peppy and out of Gun Smoke Denise she showed today.
Fenna was thrilled with her achievement and her horses’ performance. “I’ve had this horse for the last 4 years and we’ve grown up together,” she claimed following her win. “What really was a boost for the both of us was showing for our Country at the 2010 WEG. Today, once again, he proved he is simply great.”
Claiming the reserve championship in both classes, a half a point behind the champions, was young Gina Maria aboard Gunners Enterprise (Gunner x My Royal Enterprise) owned by Corinna Schumacher.
